We pretty much cover all the major audio services you might need. That includes tracking (recording your vocals or instruments in our studio), mixing your tracks to perfection, mastering for that final polish, music production like creating custom beats, voiceover recording, and podcast recording with a full dual-camera video setup. We also offer instructional classes in music production, studio rentals for artists who want to work independently, and off-site services like mixing, mastering, and custom beats for clients who can't come in person. In short, whether you want to lay down a hip-hop verse, belt out an R&B chorus, record a guitar solo, narrate a commercial, or launch a podcast, we got you covered with professional recording, mixing, mastering, and production services, all under one roof.

Our bread and butter is Hip-Hop and R&B. That's the core of our local scene and what we work on every day. We love big 808s, silky R&B vocals, raw rap bars, all of it. That said, we're not limited to those genres at all. We can record anything from pop to gospel to rock if you bring it to us. (If you're planning a polka or death metal project, we're up for the challenge. We might just need to brew an extra pot of coffee!) The key is that we focus on making your unique sound shine. So whatever your style, our team will adapt and make sure the production fits your vibe. And remember, we also do voiceovers and podcasts, so our expertise isn't just for music. It's for quality audio in general.

Despite the name, we promise there's nothing scary about our studio. Except maybe how scary good your tracks will sound when we're done. The name "The Tomb" is part of our vibe, but it's not a literal tomb. Think of it more like a creative vault where you can bury yourself in your work and resurrect killer tracks. The only spirits here are the creative kind (and maybe the ghost of an old-school hit or two roaming around for inspiration).
In reality, the studio's atmosphere is very welcoming and alive. We like dim ambient lighting and a comfortable setting, more cozy than creepy. So no worries, you won't find mummies in the vocal booth or skeletons running the mixing board. The name just sounds cool and reflects that we're a place where legendary tracks are laid to rest (on the record) until they're ready to be released to the world. It's all part of the brand's personality. So come on in. The only thing you'll be dying to do is lay down another take (bad pun, I know).

We've got a state-of-the-art setup here, and we love talking gear. Here's a quick rundown of some of the key equipment and software we use:
Microphone: We use a Neumann TLM 103 as our main vocal mic, one of the most iconic mics in hip-hop/R&B, known for its crisp, clear sound. In other words, you're gonna sound good.
Interface/Preamps: All our audio runs through a Universal Audio Apollo x6 interface (paired with an Apollo Twin Duo). This means high-quality preamps and even real-time effects like Antares Auto-Tune before the sound even hits the recording software. It's like audio voodoo that makes everything silky.
Software (DAWs): We work with all the top digital audio workstations. Our team is fluent in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio, and more. So whatever you're comfortable with, we probably have it.
Plugins/Effects: We have tons of plugins. Waves Mercury bundle (that's 200+ plugins right there!), the Universal Audio UAD Ultimate suite, Soundtoys 5 effects, and yes Antares Auto-Tune, so if you want that Don Toliver or Lil Baby vibe, we can dial it in. We've basically got all the audio toys to make your track sound modern and polished.
To sum it up: will we Auto-Tune you? Only if you want us to! We can keep your voice natural or add as much correction/effect as you request. Our goal is to make you sound like the best version of you. With our gear, even a frog could sound like Frank Ocean (okay, slight exaggeration, but you get the idea).

No worries, we work with beginners and pros alike. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your first session:
Practice your material: Know your lyrics or performance inside-out so you can deliver confidently. The better prepared you are, the smoother things will go. Do a little shower karaoke or mirror rap if it helps!
Have your stuff ready: Bring any instrumentals/beats on a USB drive, email them to us, AirDrop them, or send a link and we can pull them from sources like YouTube or SoundCloud. Have your lyrics or notes handy (on your phone or printed out) so you're not fumbling for words. If you're a voiceover artist, bring your script and we'll provide you with all the water, tea, and coffee you need.
Take care of your voice/body: Try to get a good night's sleep and stay hydrated. If you're a singer, avoid super cold drinks or dairy right before the session (old singer tip, dairy can make you phlegmy). Maybe don't scream at a basketball game the night before, you know?
Arrive on time and ready to vibe: The studio environment is chill and creative. We'll handle the technical setup; you just bring your passion and energy. If you're feeling nervous, let us know and we'll help you relax. And if you have any specific ideas or reference tracks for how you want to sound, feel free to share them with us!

Yes! We know that having a friend, bandmate, or "hype man" around can boost the creative vibes. You're welcome to bring people for support (and honest feedback). Our policy allows up to 10 people total in the studio at a time, so you've got room for your whole crew if you need them. That said, more people doesn't always mean better sessions. A couple of close buddies who understand studio etiquette (a.k.a. know when to chill and let you work) is usually the sweet spot.
If you need more than 10 people for a special project, just reach out ahead of time and we can discuss it. We actually enjoy having a positive crew in the studio because it can make the session more fun. Just make sure your guests are respectful of the process (no random yelling into the mic unless that's part of the plan!). And who knows, your friend might even catch a cool candid video of you in the booth for the 'Gram. So yes, feel free to bring the squad, just keep the energy creative and the vibes right.

You've got two options here, and both are totally common. If you already have a beat you love, bring it! Just make sure it's in a common audio format (WAV or high-quality MP3 preferred). You can email it to us ahead of time, bring it on a USB drive, AirDrop it, or send a download link. We can also pull beats from sources like YouTube or SoundCloud if you've got a link. We'll load it up so you can rap or sing over it with ease. And if something's off with your beat's mix, we can tweak it on the fly to make sure you shine.
Don't have a beat? No problem. We have in-house producers who love creating custom beats. Think of it like ordering a custom pizza: you tell us the flavor you want, and we cook it up. Our team can produce a beat from scratch tailored to your style, whether you want a hard-hitting trap beat, a smooth R&B groove, or something totally unique. We'll consult with you about the vibe, maybe ask for reference tracks or artists you like, and then craft a beat that fits your vision. It's a fun collaborative process. Check out our services page for current beat production pricing.

Absolutely! We don't just serve musicians; we're fully equipped to handle voiceover recordings, podcasts, audiobooks, you name it. If you're a voice actor needing to record a commercial or narration, or a podcaster looking for a clean, professional sound, we've got you. Our studio is quiet and acoustically treated to capture voice recordings with crystal clarity (no weird echo or background noise). We have top-notch mics that will make your voice sound rich and clear.
For podcasters, we offer a full audio and video recording setup with a dual-camera system, so you walk away with both a polished audio episode and video content ready for YouTube or social media. Our engineers will handle all the technical setup so you can focus on your conversation.
So yes, whether you're doing an anime voice, a radio ad, a true-crime podcast debut, or a full video podcast series, The Tomb Studio is the perfect place to record it professionally. Check out our booking page for voiceover and podcast session pricing.

Booking a session is easy and hassle-free. All bookings are done through our online booking system on our website. Just choose your service and available time slot, and you're set. You can also call or text us at (330) 776-5523 if you have questions before booking (we're pretty quick to respond). All sessions are by appointment only (no walk-ins, since we might be busy making magic with someone else), so definitely secure your slot in advance. Once you've booked and paid your deposit, your session is locked in. Just show up ready to create!
You don't need an account to book. Guest booking works just fine. That said, creating an account comes with some perks: you can track your booking history, manage reschedules and cancellations from your dashboard, check your gift card balances, and you'll automatically be tracked for our Star Artist program (which means free studio hours if you're putting in the work). So while it's not required, it's worth it if you plan on coming back, and we hope you will!
-
We keep our pricing affordable and straightforward. Rates vary depending on the service type, session length, and engineer. You can find our full, up-to-date pricing on our booking and services pages on the website. We offer everything from hourly recording sessions to flat-rate mixing, mastering, and custom beat production, so there's something for every budget. We'll always make sure you know exactly what your session will cost before we get started. No sticker-shock here, just high-quality work that won't break the bank.
-
Yes, we require a payment or deposit to secure your session. When you book online, you'll be prompted to pay either a deposit or the full amount upfront through Stripe or PayPal. This ensures that your time slot is reserved just for you (and that our engineers don't get stood up. They have feelings too!). The deposit is a portion of your total session cost, not a separate fee, and it gets applied toward your balance.
If you chose to pay just the deposit, the remaining balance is due before the start of your session. For the remaining balance, we accept cash, CashApp, Apple Pay, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, and Stripe, so you've got options.
And if your engineer killed it and you want to show some extra love, you can add a tip during checkout when you pay in full. We've got preset options to make it easy, or enter a custom amount. Here's the best part: 100% of your tip goes directly to the engineer. The studio doesn't take a cut. It all goes to the person who helped bring your vision to life.

We do not accept walk-ins. All sessions are by appointment only. If you show up without a booking, the studio may be locked or we'll be in the middle of another session. We love spontaneity in music, but for studio time you need to book through our website first.
As for hours, we don't have a strict "9 to 5." Our schedule is flexible to fit artists' needs. We run sessions by appointment any day of the week. Night owl who wants a late-night session? We can often make that happen (we know creativity often strikes at 2 AM). Our team is used to odd hours. Part of the job in the music world. We've done sessions in the morning, afternoon, and pulled the occasional all-nighter.
Availability depends on our engineers, so it's always best to book ahead and let us know what time you're aiming for. If you have a sudden burst of inspiration and want a same-day session, check our online booking for open slots or give us a call/text at (330) 776-5523. If we have an opening, we'll try to get you in. We just ask for a heads-up so we can have an engineer caffeinated and ready.
-
A few important things here. First: try your best to be on time, because the clock starts at your scheduled time whether you're in the booth or not. Late arrivals do not extend your session. If you show up 30 minutes late to a one-hour session, you'll get 30 minutes of studio time but still owe for the full hour, so set those alarms! Setup, breakdown, and file transfer time are all included in your booked time too.
Need more time? If inspiration strikes and nobody's booked right after you, you can extend your session on the spot in 30-minute increments. Just let your engineer know and they'll check availability. We can't guarantee extensions since it depends on the schedule, so if you already know you might need extra time, book a longer session upfront.
Planning a marathon session? If you're going for 8 hours or more, a mandatory 1-hour unpaid break is built in. Your ears (and your engineer's ears) need a reset. Trust us, your music will sound better for it. You're only charged for actual recording time, so a 12-hour booking means 11 paid hours plus a break. Bring snacks, stay hydrated, and get ready to make something special.

We totally understand that life happens and you may need to reschedule or cancel. Here's how it works:
Cancellations: If you need to cancel, give us at least 48 hours notice before your scheduled start time and you'll receive a full refund of your deposit or payment. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session will result in forfeiture of your deposit. If you paid in full, the remaining balance after the deposit is deducted will be issued as studio credit.
Rescheduling: You can reschedule for free with at least 24 hours notice, but each booking only allows a maximum of two (2) reschedules. If you no-show on your second scheduled session (after one reschedule), you will not receive a refund. If you try to reschedule a third time, you'll have two options: cancel the session with no deposit refund, or keep and attend the second rescheduled date. No further reschedules after that.
You can submit cancellation and reschedule requests through your dashboard on our website or by calling/texting (330) 776-5523. Communication is key. Reach out and we'll work with you, but please respect the time windows so nobody loses out.

Of course! It's your music, and you should walk away with it. Exactly what you get might depend on what stage the project is at, but typically:
If you did a recording session (laying down vocals/instruments), we can bounce you a rough mix or reference MP3 at the end of the session so you can listen back at home. Important thing to know: all mixing and mastering is done during your booked session time. We don't do mixing or mastering work outside of sessions. So if you leave with a rough mix and want a polished final version, you'll need to book another session to come back and finish the song. That's why we always recommend booking enough time to get through everything you need. Once your mix and/or master is done, we'll deliver the final high-quality files through Air Drop, Tomb Cloud (our secure file platform), or Google Drive.
Need the individual tracks/stems of your session? If time permits during your session, your engineer can bounce out the stems and send them to you before you leave at no extra charge. If we run out of time or you need stems after the fact, we also offer stems as a separate service (check the services page for details). Either way, this is handy if you want to do remixes or perform with your backing tracks.
One important note: as a courtesy, we hold your session files for a minimum of 12 months. After that, file availability is not guaranteed, and project files may no longer be available to be opened, edited, or modified. We strongly encourage you to download and back up your files as soon as they're available. We also aren't responsible for files that are misplaced, deleted, or overwritten after you leave the session, so make sure you verify you've got everything before you head out!
-
Yes! Your vocals and performances are 100% yours. You retain full ownership of all vocal recordings and performances created during your session at The Tomb Studio. We don't take any ownership or royalties for the songs recorded here. Once you've paid for the session and the work is done, your vocal recordings are yours to do with as you please.
One important thing to know: if your project uses instrumentals, beats, or productions created by one of our studio-affiliated engineers or producers, ownership of those instrumentals stays with the creator unless you've made a separate agreement. Purchasing a beat or custom production grants you a license to use it as agreed at the time of purchase, but it doesn't automatically transfer ownership of the underlying composition unless explicitly stated. So if you're working with one of our producers on a beat, just make sure you're clear on the terms, and we'll help you sort that out.
We're proud to be part of your creative journey. We're happy if you credit the studio or give us a shout-out when you drop that fire track, but that's totally up to you. Bottom line: your vocals and performances are yours. Studio-produced beats have their own terms. And we're always transparent about it.

Yep! If you know your way around a DAW and just need the space and equipment, studio rentals are perfect for you. You get access to our room and gear to do your thing: recording, mixing, mastering, beat production, artist development sessions, whatever your creative process needs. A studio associate will be on-site during your rental in case you need a hand or run into any tech issues.
One thing to note: rentals are strictly for music-related work. We love a good party, but the studio isn't the place for birthday celebrations, kickbacks, or anything that doesn't involve making music (we've got expensive gear in there!). Speaking of gear, you're responsible for the equipment during your rental. Normal wear and tear is expected, but if something gets spilled on, dropped, or broken from misuse, that's on you. Check the booking page for rates and minimum booking time.

You don't have to come into the studio to take advantage of our mixing, mastering, and production services. If you've recorded vocals at home or at another studio, we can polish them up remotely. Here's how it works: order the service through our website, fill out the submission form (it asks for a link to your files, reference tracks, and notes on the vibe), pay upfront, and your engineer gets to work.
For files, send us your individual tracks/stems as WAV files if possible (higher quality = better results). Upload them to Google Drive, Dropbox, or any file-sharing service and drop the link in the form. Label your tracks clearly (like 'lead vocal', 'ad libs', 'kick', etc.). It makes our engineers' lives way easier and means faster turnaround for you.
We offer three turnaround speeds: standard (5-7 business days), rush (2-3 business days at 1.5x the base price), and immediate (24 hours at 2.5x the base price). Mixes, masters, and custom beats include two free revisions, and just so you know, the first deliverable we send you is considered the final product. Revisions are modifications to that delivered product, not a continuation of the production process.
We also offer a full range of alternative mixes for different uses. Acappella (just your vocals, no beat or production), clean (curse words removed), radio (no cursing, sexual references, or drug references), instrumental (everything except your vocals), performance (main vocals removed but libs, dubs, and layers stay in, perfect for the stage), and show mix (multiple tracks blended together for a live set, priced by number of songs). Great for when grandma wants to hear your music or you're prepping for a show.
Everything gets delivered through Tomb Cloud (our secure file platform), with Google Drive as a backup. Check the services page for full pricing and details!

We sure do! We love hooking up our clients with deals when we can. We send out discount codes via email to our subscribers from time to time, so make sure you're signed up on our website so you don't miss out. (We won't spam you, promise. Just cool updates and the occasional deal that'll make your wallet happy.) Also, keep an eye on our social media pages. We sometimes announce flash sales or surprise promotions for followers. You never know when a deal might drop!
Just a heads up: discounts can't be stacked with other discounts, and codes can't be applied retroactively to completed bookings. But hey, we appreciate our loyal customers and love to give back when we can, so stay plugged in!

Yes! If you know someone who's been dying to get in the studio (or if you just want to treat yourself, no judgment), gift cards are the move. We offer two tiers: Standard Gift Cards that are good for 30 days, and Premium Gift Cards that are valid for 90 days and come with a little bonus credit on top. Check out our gift card page for denominations and details.
The best part? You can use them for pretty much anything we offer. Recording sessions, classes, studio rentals, voiceover, and podcasting If we do it, you can probably use a gift card for it. Just a couple things to know: gift cards can be refunded within 48 hours if you haven't used them yet. After that, they're non-refundable. And you can't buy a gift card with another gift card (nice try though).

This one's fun. The Star Artist program is our way of putting our most active and dedicated artists on a pedestal, literally. Every month, we hand out six awards: Most Hours Booked, Most Sessions Booked, Honorable Mention, Most Growth on Spotify, Top Supporter, and Most Dedicated. Think of it like the studio version of an MVP award, except there are six of them and you don't have to give a speech.
Each award earns you one free studio hour you can use for recording sessions, classes, or studio rentals. Free hours have to be used before the end of the month they're awarded, and they can't be stacked with other discounts (gotta keep it fair). It's our way of saying we see you putting in the work, here's something back.
Winners get featured on our Star Artist leaderboard right on the website. Your name, photo, and stats up for the whole month. It's basically the studio hall of fame, updated monthly. We even pull your Spotify monthly listener data to track growth for the Most Growth award. Keep grinding and you might see your name up there, bragging rights included.

We do! But only if you want us to. Live streaming is 100% opt-in. We'll never go live with your session without your say-so. If you're cool with it and want your session broadcast to the world, you can opt in right from your booking on our website. That's the only way to opt in. It can't be set up by phone, email, or in person, so just toggle it on when you book.
When you opt in, your session might go out on any of our platforms: YouTube, Instagram, X, Twitch, Kick, Rumble, Facebook, TikTok, you name it. The live stream recordings belong to The Tomb Studio, but you're absolutely welcome to download and repost them for your own promo. It's actually a great way to build your audience and show people what you sound like in the booth. And if you ever change your mind and want a stream taken down, just shoot us an email at contact@thetombstudio.com and we'll handle it. No drama.
